I am tired and angry with seeing people end up in the victim role, begging people/institutions, be it professionals or courts of law, to basically “be nice” and not harm them. Makes one very vengeful, doesn’t it? There is really no justice too. Will anyone even see you as a rational person once you’re labelled with DSM nonsense? They are practically caricatures of people. It doesn’t matter how good the intentions of the staff are (or aren’t). The only way we can protect vulnerable people is by making sure they have safe spaces, and don’t end up in these places in the first place, where they will be labelled and may have horrible drugs forced on them. Having the “right to choose” between “hospitals” is akin to choosing between being shat on by a cow or a goat or a hippo. It’s no choice at all.
Unfortunately, psychiatry also defames those of us who are prescribed these drugs and experience mania as a result, as “bipolar”. But one half of the mood that comprises of that label is created by the very drugs prescribed by psychiatrists themselves.
Imagine you have tuberculosis, and you are prescribed Isoniazid fo it. Then, imagine that the Izoniazid makes you psychotic, and the prescribing doctor tells you and your family that you have “schizophrenia” which was just “uncovered” by the dug. You would butcher that idiot. But a similar occurrence is happening everyday in psychiatry.

Harris at Barrie, Ontario, decided not to let me cross-examine the witch-doctor. Case Law of R.v. Frsytha (1980) and Criminal Code section 774 tells us the order was illegal. Mr. Komer claimed the injections are required to make one fit with legal knowledge.

That’s the natural question arising from a recent report that found adults over 65 are receiving psychotropic medications at twice the rate of younger adults. The study, published in this month’s Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, also found that elders are much less likely to get their mental health care from psychiatrists or to receive psychotherapy.
What’s the problem? First, psychotropic drugs generally pose greater risks to the elderly than they do to younger patients, and non-drug approaches, from therapy to meditation, may be as effective as psychotropic medications for some seniors’ mental disorders, without the risks.
The findings suggest that physicians and insurers should reassess psychotropic drug use among the elderly, says lead author Donovan Maust, a geriatric psychiatrist and assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Michigan.
Maust’s team used 2007-2010 data from the CDC’s National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey and from the U.S. Census to compare the rates at which older and younger adults — those 65 and older, and those 18-64 — get prescribed psychotropic medications during outpatient doctors’ visits. After analyzing more than 100,000 of these doctor visits, and taking into account the fact that the younger population is much larger than the older one, the researchers found that older adults were much more likely to be prescribed psychiatric drugs…

Wild and wolfish but not insane, McMurphy’s unruliness is “treated”. Held down by white-uniformed orderlies, the electrodes attached to his head render him a jerking, writhing mass.
These days, people are clamouring to zap their brains. You can even buy DIY kits online at Foc.us, advertised by young men with chic red headsets attached to their forehead. The ads say “Unleash your inner game” and “Take charge”. Powered by a nine-volt battery, the kits deliver what is known as transcranial direct current stimulation or tDCS. They are being snapped up by video gamers and others who want to amp up their concentration or zap themselves out of depression.
Do they work? If so, what are they doing – and can they cause harm? No one knows for certain. The devices have bolted half-baked out of the lab. Researchers seem ambivalent about possible harms, and some question if the piddly two-milliamp current does anything at all. Some users singe their scalp, but otherwise there’s no evidence and how you are afraid of the damage it might have done already, and the fact that nurses misrepresented your anger in the first place. My last injection is due on the Monday after Christmas, then they will be monitoring me to make sure I'm OK. I'm not OK, I'm still living with the trauma and anger and fear of what the psychiatrists and nurses in hospital did to me.
RockieRaven Psychiatric facilities detain patients who are on good insurance or in the military (as these will automatically pay 14 days of claims). In fact, they prefer these patients as they are also usually easier to manage then the poor and homeless. I was held against my will for 2 weeks plus on four occasions. Not meeting crieteria at all. Completely involuntary from the start. No right to appeal the decision. People don’t understand that a few doctors get to make this decision and don’t have to consult a judge or the patient for 17 days. At least in Nevada or Utah where I was held. This gives context to claims that mental illnesses are genetic, and reason for caution when making such claims. Health care workers need to know about the Aktion T4 programs, when mental patients were killed by the Nazis in the 1930s and 40s and the fact that the racist eugenics doctrines of Galton were exported to Germany and elsewhere from Cambridge University. The first eugenics laws were passed, not in Germany, but in the USA.
The eugenics doctrines, which were warmly embraced by the Australian university system, provided a key "scientific rationale" for the atrocious treatment of Aboriginal people in Australia, Galton having written in Hereditary Genius (1869) that the "African Negro" is, on average, two grades below the "common or garden" Englishman in intelligence and the "Australian Black" a further grade below the African. This has relevance to understanding the rationale, backed by Australian universities, behind what is now called the Stolen Generation.
The "negative eugenics" strategies Galton promoted, along with Major Leonard Darwin (Charles Darwin's son), included forced sterilization, segregation, prevention of marriages to avoid 'miscegation", restriction of immigration of so-called "inferior races" and other measures. I paid my doctors to harm me . Now not only am I living with that harm, day in and day out, I am being punished because I did what my doctor told me to do. I’m being punished for being a good patient and trying to do the right thing to get well. I’m a criminal because someone thinks I should be punished because my doctor made mistakes.
Think about that. Someone thinks I should be punished for someone else’s mistake, someone else's negligence. What do you think of that person?

Rosalee I did not know how incredibly harmful psychiatry can be until I was blindsided by a psychiatrist I saw for “help with sleep meds” while I was in cancer treatment and struggling with insomnia. What I endured was corrupt, dishonest and shockingly cruel, a nightmare that left me in a state of shock and despair because of the permanent harm that has been done to my life. It was only a few months ago that I discovered this website and was blown away when reading some of articles and blogs that describe so much of what I experienced. It has been extremely helpful to read such validating, important and informative stories and blogs to expose the truth and harm of psychiatry. I believe my story is more undeniable proof of the sheer madness/stupidity of psychiatry and that their ‘labels’ are ridiculous and totally unsubstantiated. Until I experienced it for myself I had no idea and everyone needs to be aware of the dangers of agreeing to see a psychiatrist for any reason. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for your work and for this website.

Rose Elizabeth Marshall Arbuthnott Stigma is defined as “a mark of disgrace or infamy.” The word bears a negative connotation and it devalues the person to whom the stigma is applied. While the conversation about mental health is receiving a larger forum, damaging misconceptions are widespread.
According to surveys, there are between 42.5 to 46 million adults in the U.S. that have some type of mental illness.
The stigma exists because of a lack of understanding, knowledge and education about mental illness. The stereotypes are further reinforced by the images and representations we see in the media. We think of electroshock therapy, padded cells, lobotomies, straight jackets and leather restraints. Movie villains are always portrayed as crazy, sadistic, psycho killers, and that further shapes the public’s perception of violent behavior and mental illness.
There is an overwhelming impression that people diagnosed as bipolar or schizophrenic have violent tendencies. Some of the words used to describe people with mental health conditions are: “insane,” “crazy,” “lunatic,” “psycho.” All these derogatory terms are wrong and help promote the stigma. Like most diseases, mental illnesses are no one’s fault.

Rudy Caseres No one in the hospital cared about what I wanted or what I was comfortable with happening to my own body. Even though no one disputes that catheterization is a painful procedure, the nurse did not seem to care how it would affect me. The nurse then pulled my pants and underwear down to my ankles and forced a tube into the tip of my penis. I felt a type of pain I had never felt before. I asked her to stop, telling her how painful it was. She would not stop. I felt incredibly helpless and humiliated.
For the next two years, I felt that I could not tell anyone about my forced catheterization. I felt like no one else would treat it as a big deal. After all, it was a medical procedure done for my own good. I was worried that it wasn’t a real abuse that I had the right to feel angry or upset about. In 2016, I became involved with the psychiatric survivors community. I attended the Alternatives Conference, and although I was still skeptical of critical psychiatry ideas, I began to educate myself and engage with that community. Eventually, I told my story of forced catheterization, and for the first time, my pain was validated by fellow psychiatric survivors. One person responded that it was a form of sexual assault. I suddenly realized that it was okay to feel violated by what had happened; I wasn’t making a big deal out of nothing. I started sharing my forced catheterization on social media and at local presentations. Although I was met with criticism, I felt empowered enough to not let that silence me.
Forced catheterization — and all forced treatment — needs to be stopped. This is a prime example of how the healthcare system rushes to take someone’s rights away based on the perception that a person is mentally ill. This is how the healthcare system treats people who are isolated, scared, stressed, anxious, and vulnerable. I will examine are Joseph Biederman, Roy Meadow, William Dodson, Big Pharma, how the diagnosis of Oppositional Defiant Disorder is bullshit, other bullshit in psychiatry, a near namesake of myself, and several others.

BACKGROUND
Russell Jonas Grigaitis As I was driving home from a couple of days at the skete, I was thinking about the most effective term to use when discussing psychiatric shock abuse. The industry officially uses ECT and not too many people know what that means. Often “Therapy” and “Treatment” are interchanged. I believe it would be best to use the term ECT because that is what the industry uses, but use the full name “Electroconvulsive Treatment” as often as possible. This is so that it become so common that “Electroconvulsive Therapy” is never used by the general public. When the word “Electroconvulsive” is explained to someone, it is clear that it is cruel, inhuman and degrading. Thus, the word “Treatment” will naturally lead to the “United Nations Convention against Torture.”
Руслан Йоана Ґрїґитис This may bring the abuse of psychiatry and ECT to the awareness of the pope and the cardinals of the Catholic Church. While it may not seem relevant to non-Catholics, it may have positive results for many. Some will say I should leave this section out of my book as it’s a small side topic and may distract from the more important issues. However, its my chance to potentially introduce the topic of psychiatric abuse to the highest level of the Catholic Church in a relevant relation to the most pressing issues being discussed in the synod this October.
This is a section of the book I’m writing that may introduce some solutions for consideration at the Synod of Bishops on the Family in October. The cardinals on either side of the main debate seem to completely misunderstand the Orthodox practice of oikonomia, so my book may be of interest to them. I plan to mail it to at least Cardinal Kasper and Cardinal Burke, the latter of whom I’ve exchanged letters with in the past. I also plan to send it to Patriarch Sviatoslav (he’s also a cardinal) with the blessing of my bishop as the underlying issues greatly effect the Ukrainian Catholic Church’s relationship with Rome, as well as with the Orthodox Churches. I may also send it to Cardinal Collins as he is my former Archbishop and I have talked to and exchanged letters with him in the past. I will ask my bishop how I could best get the attention of the Synod Fathers without mailing all the cardinals a copy as I don’t have that kind of money.
I hope to have this book completed and ready for publishing by the end of the first week of September.
